Dear clinician,
You have been recommended as a healthcare professional who may provide more accessible or affirming care for people in larger bodies. We would like to invite you to apply to be listed on our Minnesota Fat Liberation Healthcare Provider Directory.
About the Directory:
The provider directory is a resource for patients. People in larger bodies face extreme, multifaceted barriers to receiving quality healthcare, many of which are perpetuated by providers and health systems [1,2]. The directory aims to increase access to healthcare by helping patients find information about providers and their practices, so they can make informed decisions about where to pursue care.
About the organization:
Radical Health Alliance resources and hosts this directory. Radical Health Alliance is an organization that champions the weight-inclusive health of fat people in Minnesota. Through education, support, and advocacy, we strive to eliminate weight bias, increase access to health services, and protect people from weight discrimination.
Next steps:
If you would like to be included on the directory, please fill out the interest form. There is no financial cost to applying, nor to being listed. More information, including FAQs, can be found here.
Thank you for the important work you do!
Warmly,
Minnesota Fat Liberation Healthcare Provider Directory team
